What happened?
When creating a new tileset and adding an ion asset ID to it, I should be able to jump to that tileset's location by pressing F in the editor. Instead, I have to manually go to the location that the tileset will load. Once tiles begin to load, the F key works as expected. This somewhat defeats the point of being able to focus on tilesets, as you still have to manually hunt for them in the first place.
Environment
Cesium for Unreal version: 2.27.0
Unreal Engine Version: 5.7
Operating System: Windows 11
Reproduction steps
- Open up 01_CesiumWorld from Cesium Samples
- Add a new Blank 3D Tiles Tileset from the sidebar
- Set the ion Asset ID to
3667783. This is the boathouse tileset from the sandcastle. The issue does show up with other tilesets however.
- Press F to
pay respects focus on the tileset. Nothing will happen.
- Fly or move the georeference to the location of the tileset (lat 40.071952 long -75.292177).
- Wait for tiles to load.
- Press F. Your camera will immediately jump to the location of the tileset.
- Move the camera anywhere else in the world. Now that the tileset has been loaded, the F key will work from anywhere.
