Caching metadata

Files are cached correctly, but is there also a way to enable caching the output of the sharp metadata() call inside this plugin?

I'm processing lots of images, and this would speed up the build process.

Not 100% sure if it's related, but it could: I noticed that even with a warm cache the processing takes quite a while (~200s for ~900 images) although the files in the cache folder won't change.
