Device: Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo)
Original OS: MIUI 12.5.2 (Global/Stable)
Kernel attempted: NetErnels v3.0 / v2.0 / Generic
Problem:
Constant bootloop at the MIUI logo after flashing the kernel and Magisk. Attempting to disable DM-Verity or using different Magisk versions (v27.0, v30.7) did not resolve the issue. It seems the stock encryption on MIUI 12.5.2 is too aggressive for a simple kernel swap.
The Solution (Workaround):
To get NetErnels working and avoid bootloops, I had to:
Boot into OrangeFox Recovery.
Perform a full Format Data (typing "yes").
Flash LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11).
Flash NetErnels v3.0 and Magisk v27.0.
Install the provided wifi modules.
