Arrow keys in command mode

Is there a way to make arrow keys work like hjkl in command mode?

I'm fighting decades of muscle memory and would like to be able to set a default to enable that.

Arrow keys are encoded as multi-character key sequences, beginning with the escape character. Therefore, after reading escape, you can check the next character (without waiting too long) to see if it is an arrow key.

check the next character (without waiting too long) to see if it is an
arrow key.

Would you consider adding support for that such that they would be aliases for hjkl?

Nextvi supports arrow keys via an optional patch.

You could adapt this implementation to work for neatvi too.
