Thanks a lot for such an enthusiastic review! It’s awesome to hear that even the Elixir client has been useful for your work. Your support means a lot — thanks for being part of the Manticore community. |

I use Manticore Search locally on my servers for my own products. What I like most is the speed, the fact that there are clients even for Elixir (which I use a lot), the rich set of powerful features, and how easy it is to integrate data from other databases.
So far, I haven’t found anything missing — Manticore covers all my search needs perfectly. I haven’t even tried all the available features yet, but many of them already look really useful for my projects.
Right now, I don’t have any pain points — even distributed indexing isn’t needed yet since everything fits on a single node. Maybe I’ll have more feedback once I move to a larger setup.
Overall experience: excellent, 5/5, 10/10 — pure joy to use.
I first heard about Manticore a long time ago, back when it was still Sphinx, probably from some conference talks on YouTube. I’d been wanting to replace my own custom-built search for a while, tried Manticore, and now I’m fully committed to integrating it into my projects.
