Revised Information.pdf. I made a lot of changes. There were things not mentioned that seemed to fit inside the Information.pdf.

Please take a look and modify as you see fit. Improve the formatting. and fix any grammar or spelling.

I looked at abbreviations - revised. How many pages do you think? I can work on cutting it down. I think the other document is too long also. The reason why I expanded that document was that most of my students were confused with some things in the plugin. And I read some of the discussions that indicated some confusion about the meaning of IE, IC, on-the-arc, etc. My students suggested plugin as well as overall openCPN needs to be better documented. So that was my stab. But when I edited one document at a time, I only saw one document at a time. I unfortunately added redundancies between the 2 documents.... My thinking right now is that the second document should be "how to input sights" as well as cautions on units of measure (which is sometimes in metric, decimal degrees where West is negative). Primarily It would be what each tab does. And then refer back to definitions and abbreviations document. That should help cut things down.

Bob, I had tried to cover the basic actions for using the plugins, (more completely than Sean had) but as you showed, I had missed a number of aspects of the plugin, which you covered in your current INFORMATION button PDF.pdf above.

I agree the Abbreviations, Definitions and Measurements is also long, but it is what it is.
I wouldn't get into that again. I had a shorter version, but had also missed some things that you added. I think its pretty good.
Lets see what your students think when we get this done, but if you have some thoughts about Measurement, maybe moving them to Information, maybe we should do that because it is more a part of taking sights?

Also we could just publish these docs and then consider and revise them after awhile based on comments from your students.

Also consider the Manual which is where more detail and screenshots and photos can be added. This needs to be updated too be current. So maybe some of the detailed wealth of information in the Information Button could be covered in the Manual?

See Celestial Navigation Manual, which I have spent quite a lot of time on in the past. I am sure it could be improved.

It is also the same length as Information-2 (I removed some duplicates and that kept it the same length). I have additional ideas on how to shorten it up further.

1. Information Button Html - updated with the new html document. (make the one link change to Abbreviations... at the top part)
2. Abbreviations, Definitions and Measurements Html - new document added to the data directory.
3. Add a link under Calculations Tab to link to Abbreviations....

Then I can publish it.

For the statistics reporting, I think Stalian has a program that will calculate the statistics based on current plugin version.....Whereas my documents were done in previous versions.

If Stelian can run his program, I can format the statistics in a Word document.
