Importing Android Plugin Tarballs
- Download new versions of the Android Plugin Tarball from Cloudsmith.
- Upper Left Menu, in Cloudsmith navigate to the VDR-prod plugin repository from the Cloudsmith upper left search selection (usually pick the "prod" production repository) IE "vdr-prod"
- Upper Right Menu in the Cloudsmith upper left search box enter "android tarball" then pick "armhf" or "arm64" tarball, and the most recent version EG: for vdr_pi v1.3.42.0 use vdr-prod repository (left side), then search (right side) with 1.3.42.0+tarball+android

- Download VDR-test-files.zip to your Download folder.

- Expand these VDR test files into a new folder under downloads.
- Connect your Android to PC (Windows10/11) with a USB cord, as if charging the android from your PC.
- Using PC File Explorer copy the downloaded Android Plugin tarball and paste it into
PC\USER Galaxy A51 5G\Internal storage\Android\data\org.opencpn.opencpn\files\plugins
- Copy the expanded VDR test files Directory (under the download directory) and paste into
PC[USER]Galaxy A51 5G\Internal storage\Documents
- Next start OpenCPN on the Android and go to Options > Plugins
- Update the Catalog, and then select "Import Plugin" and select VDRthe appropriate plugin tarball to import.
- When picking a VDR file to play it should be available under Internal storage\Documents
Taking Screenshots
You can usually take screenshots by quickly pushing the power button and the bottom lower side of the volumn button. The screen will blink when the shot is taken. The screenshots are accessed easiest via PC File Explorer when the android is connected. The screenshots can be copied from here
