Based on the P(n), the expressions underlined with pink should be

1^2 + 2^2 + ... + k^2

and the expressions underlined with blue should be

1^1 + 2^2 + ... + (k+1)^2

(Fun fact, it's a false formula anyways. But thankfully, proving it is not part of the exercise.)
