[Bug] WASM CompileError: wasm validation error at offset 236: bad type on Android Firefox when loading 3DGS scene

Loading Spark 3DGS on Firefox Android triggers CompileError: wasm validation error: at offset 236: bad type.

Works normally on Android Chrome and all desktop browsers(Chrome/Firefox/Safari), only Firefox for Android fails WASM module compilation and cannot initialize 3DGS rendering.

Environment:

• Spark Version: v.2.1.0
• Firefox Android Version:151.0.3
• Android OS: Android 12

I'm unable to reproduce the issue on Android 12 with Firefox or Fennec, both running version 151. It might be due to a WASM feature Spark depends on that for some reason isn't supported/enabled on your specific device/OS/browser setup.

Just to be sure, does the same issue occur when opening any of the examples on sparkjs.dev?

I've tested on two Android 12-based devices:
Huawei Mate30 | HarmonyOS 4.2.0 (Android 12)
Redmi K60E | MIUI 13.0.5 (Android 12)
All demo examples from sparkjs.dev end up with black screen on both phones, the problem can be fully reproduced.
I will attach the WASM feature detection result screenshot as requested below.

Thanks for the screenshot, it does indeed show the root cause. Spark requires the simd WASM extension, which for whatever reason isn't supported in your configuration. At the moment there is sadly no way to avoid this, especially since Spark uses WASM for essential operations like parsing the splat files and sorting.

I'm somewhat surprised to see the extension disabled, as in my experience it's widely available. The fact that it works in Chrome on the same device does indicate that the SOC is capable. Do you happen to know if older Firefox versions perhaps worked? Would be good to rule out a regression in Firefox on these devices.
