Ubuntu desktop 26.04 LTS @ 28/5/2026

when launching snap-store snap im getting connection errors spam like these:

i can reprodruce this on every launch

Seems the rating api is down:

It looks to me from my location that even today (July 8th, 2026) that this issue is ongoing as ratings.ubuntu.com doesn't reply to requests (ping or otherwise).

As such, I don't necessarily think this is a bug in App Center as it's doing what it's supposed to do - reporting errors in communication with a dependent backend API endpoint as errors.
