Hi, I'm Margaret Wanjiku

I am a PhD candidate in Evolutionary Biology at San Diego State University and the University of California, Riverside.

My research develops statistical and computational methods for studying complex evolutionary histories, including ghost introgression, population structure, and demographic change.

Current work

I am developing GhostHunter, a multi-test framework for detecting ghost introgression into extant lineages.

My work uses Python, R, Bash, Snakemake, simulation, and high-performance computing to analyze genomic data and evaluate evolutionary models.
