Hi there, I'm James Nyaundi πŸ‘‹

DevOps | Platform Engineering | Cloud Infrastructure | Kubernetes | SRE

I design, automate, and operate production-grade cloud infrastructure that scales reliably under real-world traffic and business demands. My background started in cybersecurity and ethical hacking, but over the years I evolved into a full-stack infrastructure engineer focused on DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and cloud-native systems.

Today, I specialize in building highly automated delivery platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Linux, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and scalable distributed systems.

I enjoy solving hard infrastructure problems:

Kubernetes platform engineering CI/CD automation pipelines Cloud-native deployments Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Monitoring & observability Reliability engineering Linux systems administration Production incident response Security-focused infrastructure design Performance optimization at scale

I also have hands-on experience supporting modern microservice environments using:

Docker & Kubernetes Helm & GitOps workflows Jenkins & GitHub Actions NGINX & reverse proxies Kafka & RabbitMQ Redis & PostgreSQL OpenTelemetry & monitoring stacks Azure, AWS & Google Cloud πŸš€ What Drives Me

I am deeply passionate about:

Building resilient infrastructure Automating everything possible Scaling engineering systems efficiently Creating developer-friendly platforms Open-source collaboration High-performance engineering cultures Continuous learning and experimentation

I approach infrastructure with a product mindset: reliability, scalability, security, cost-efficiency, and developer experience all matter equally.

🧠 Engineering Philosophy Automate repetitive work Design for scale from day one Reliability is a feature Documentation is part of engineering Simplicity beats unnecessary complexity Secure systems should also be usable Great DevOps enables developers instead of blocking them βš™οΈ Core Stack Cloud & Infrastructure

I strongly believe technology should empower people and create opportunities. I enjoy contributing to open-source projects, sharing knowledge, collaborating with engineers globally, and building systems that developers genuinely enjoy using.

🀝 Contributions, discussions, issues, and feature requests are always welcome.

⚑ Fun Fact

I still enjoy ethical hacking and low-level system exploration for fun β€” once a security enthusiast, always a security enthusiast.

β€œGreat infrastructure is invisible when everything works β€” but world-class engineering is what makes that possible.”
