- Update release workflow to include changelog and commit history - Make README banners linkable
This changes the release workflow to use a HEREDOC for the main release body text. This makes the description much easier for humans to edit, as it avoids a single long line with ` ` newline characters.

This change updates the release workflow to automatically generate a changelog and a link to the commits since the last release. It also makes the release description easier to edit by using a multi-line string.
Additionally, the README.md file has been updated to make the shield.io banner icons linkable.
